In class, one of the writing assignments was to write whatever we wanted, but we couldn’t have a teachers help. I wrote a fictional story named Lola. I had a wonderful time writing it. My favorite part about writing it was having other people read it and write comments on the back of it. Sarah is an inspiration because she is very patient. When you don’t understand what she is saying, she chooses a different way to help you learn. Even though she couldn’t help me with Lola, she gave me ideas without talking with me.
The way I got my idea was starting out with writing a different story, but the rule was we could only write 4 pages, so I twisted my story around and made a silly story with the help of my friends. Sarah inspired me by telling silly stories about her cat, so that’s one way I got the idea to write about Bazunka, Lola’s cat.
Bazunka is very crazy. His hiding place is the microwave, and in my story I wrote about Lola accidentally closing the microwave, thinking that he was food, and turning it on. Bazunka was all right, luckily. I enjoyed writing a story about Lola, and I hope we can do another assignment like this in class!
